A restaurant conceived as a layered sensory environment, where gradient walls, natural textures and dynamic shadows shape an atmosphere of quiet drama.
From the moment patrons step inside, the experience feels almost subterranean – like entering a hidden cavern tucked away in the heart of the city. The design intentionally slows you down, encouraging attention to texture, light and craft.
At the heart of the interiors are the Ombre walls – transitioning from earthy depth into warm bronze tones inspired by tropical landscapes and handcrafted Southeast Asian traditions. This soft gradient creates a spatial flow that feels relaxed, intimate and emotionally immersive.
The material palette remains restrained and tactile. Dark wood, cane, muted finishes and filleted transitions create warmth and fluidity throughout the space allowing every element to feel cohesive and intentional.
Lighting plays a defining role in shaping the identity of FOMO. Custom clustered fixtures animate the ceiling plane, casting dynamic shadows that subtly reference the mantis, the brand’s visual symbol. The result is a play of light and shadow that reinforces the restaurant’s cavern-like atmosphere.
A sculptural entrance door inspired by the mantis introduces guests to the journey within, while a horizontal kitchen window celebrates transparency, craftsmanship and the connection between food and design.
Minimal yet dramatic, intimate yet immersive, FOMO is an environment designed not just to be seen but to be experienced.
